Hi, Rookie Jet!

I finally pulled the trigger on buying this gorgeously illustrated book, and immersing myself in it's world. I'm a writer (mostly of fantasy, sci-fi, YA and children's books, all of them in Spanish), and I see a ton of aesthetic similarities and shared influences with a novel I've had on the backburner of my mind for quite some time. This beautiful RPG guide is serving as the spark I needed to actually start putting it on paper, and I may end up using the setting of my book for a campaign with my friends.

I love the mechanics and I think my MTG-, FF- and boardgame-loving friend group could get hooked on this system. It has playable complexity in the right places and more freeform, rules light role-playing in the rest, which is great.

However, I have a few questions that I couldn't find the answers to in the book just yet, and would love clarified.

1) the book talks about carrying capacity and weight in several spots, but the item and equipment tables have a size column. Are they supposed to be equivalent/interchangeable?

2) it's not made explicit in the magic arts section of character creation, but it's implied in the advancement table that players are supposed to choose only one skill at a time when they got the appropriate levels.

3) The advancement table also indicates characters would have five different skills by level 10. Let's say my character choose transfiguration at the start of the campaign, and added enchantment at level 7. By that point I would have a novice skill, an adept skill and a master skill in transfiguration. Then the last two skills could be either a) a grandmaster transfiguration skill and a novice enchantment skill, b) a novice enchantment skill and an adept enchantment skill, or c) two grandmaster transfiguration skills, with zero transfiguration skills. Am I correct in assuming all of the above are valid? Or perhaps only a) and b) are valid, and c) breaks the game a bit?

4) Given that currently equipped weapons and equipment don't count towards the carrying capacity limit, I assume I can equip one weapon at a time, but what about equipment? Am I limited only by common sense (ie: I can equip multiple rings simultaneously, but only one pair of boots at a time), or is there supposed to be a numerical limit? The graphic design on the character sheet seems to imply the limit to be either 4 or 8 equipped items, but I'm not entirely sure.

Thank you for this amazing book, and I hope you can answer my queries.

Wow! You know what, yesterday I was thinking about when the full version will come out on earth, and today I saw it as I was viewing all most recently products on itch as usual! I really enjoy the artwork and will definitely have a try with my group.

You have it listed at "$1.00 or more" only to come up at $9.99 minimum. Seems like you need to correct that!

Definitely my mistake!

This game is absolutely gorgeous, i do have a rules question about the difference between using Magic and Skill combat actions. Both reference magic arts but the Skill action references a limit of one magic art use per combat? I'm a little lost.

Skills are once per combat actions you can take and Magic Arts can be repeatedly cast from different Schools of Magic!

As a quick follow-up, what effects can you create with a Magic Action? Or rather, where can I find a list of effects for using magic arts in the book? I have the physical version here, I'm just not sure where to look outside of the combat section for Magic effects, or Magic Arts that aren't Skill actions. I understand how to play a card and roll to take a Magic Action, I'm just not sure what I can actually do with it. I think I might have missed something.
Thanks, and thanks for making the game. It's such a fun world and everything about the game is beautiful. I love just flipping through it and admiring all of the art, writing, and tables. The mechanics are very clean. The cards that go with it look amazing as well. One of my recent favorites.

Is this the full version or the quickstart? I saw a different quickstart on your main page, but the description on this one says it's also the quickstart.

it appears to be the full version 1.3

It contains the core book and character sheet and a copy of the 1.1 core book

Full version, this has been corrected!
